    Actually, I take it back, I've tried for age's and can't seem to do it anymore. It's either got something to do with which version I have or im not on top of game (most probably the 2nd option XD)

    well i use zsnes and i just recently downloaded the newest version assuming it would improve the lil bit of lag im getting but i still cnt manage to jump over them damn flowers haha.

    Hm, what emulator? On the SNES version (Super Mario Allstars) The hitbox it still a bit awkward (I can make jump's over the flowers without dying.) I know because I too am trying to do a speedrun of this game, and it's just a matter of my hardware acceleration that lag's my screen-capturing.

    well i can do that under the blocks speedjumps as well. im working on my own speedrun atm. im looking at like a min max worse than the world record and i play it on an emulator which im finding might pose a problem according to u and the awkwardness of the hitbox =[

    Hm, so you can run forwards and jump backwards at the same time? I can't manage to do that, not to mention the insane turbo jump's the speedrunner perform's while running underneath the block's. And with the flower's? It's easy because on the NES version of Mario, the hitbox was very awkward and allowed mario to jump over the flower's without getting hit, 'tis just matter of jumping right, up and over the flower.

    well i kno how to jump backwards w/o any assistance and the glitching is legit but those damn jusmps over the flowers cannot b dun. ive tried haha. ive seen very precise jumping that landed damn near the flowers and then over but that shit is hard.

    Hm, im guessing that the PC allowed the speedrunner to keep running forward while being able to turn around and jump backward's, as well as having a VERY awkward hitbox causing mario to not die when he hit's object's like the flower's etc. Oh, and not to mention walking through the wall's (unless it's a proper glitch of course.)
